Refund Policy

1. Pay-as-You-Go Credits

Credit packs purchased as a one-time payment are generally non-refundable once delivered to your account.

Exception — 7-day satisfaction guarantee: If you purchased a credit pack and have used fewer than 5 credits, you may request a full refund within 7 days of purchase by contacting us at support@northcast.ca with your order reference. Approved refunds are processed within 5–10 business days to your original payment method.

We do not refund credits that have already been consumed by completed audits.

2. Pro Subscription

Pro subscriptions are billed monthly. You may cancel at any time through the Billing page. Cancellation takes effect at the end of the current billing period — you retain access and credits until then.

We do not offer prorated refunds for partial months. If you cancel mid-cycle, you will not be charged for the next cycle and your subscription will not renew.

Exception — billing error: If you were charged in error (e.g., a duplicate charge or a charge after confirmed cancellation), contact us within 30 days and we will issue a full refund of the erroneous charge.

3. Failed Audits

If an audit fails before any external API calls are made (e.g., due to a server error on our side), the credit deducted for that audit is automatically refunded to your account balance. This is handled programmatically and typically occurs within a few minutes.

If you believe a credit was incorrectly consumed for a failed audit that was not automatically refunded, contact us at support@northcast.ca with your audit ID and we will investigate.

4. Free Credits

Complimentary credits issued on account registration are non-refundable and have no cash value.

5. Chargebacks

If you initiate a chargeback with your payment provider instead of contacting us first, we reserve the right to suspend your account pending investigation. We encourage you to reach out to us directly — we are happy to resolve billing issues quickly.

6. How to Request a Refund

Email support@northcast.ca with:

  • Your account email address
  • The date of purchase and approximate amount
  • A brief description of the issue

We aim to respond within 2 business days.

7. Consumer Rights

Nothing in this policy is intended to limit or exclude rights you may have under applicable consumer protection law, including Canadian provincial consumer protection legislation.
