1. AI-Generated Content and Communications
Northcast uses artificial intelligence systems to provide various services including but not limited to: digital authority audits, content strategy recommendations, AI receptionist (Inbox) messaging, voice agent calls, lead scoring, and automated communications. This disclaimer applies to all AI-powered features across the Northcast platform and services.
ALL AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS ARE PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL AND CONVENIENCE PURPOSES ONLY. THEY DO NOT CONSTITUTE PROFESSIONAL LEGAL, FINANCIAL, MEDICAL, MARKETING, OR BUSINESS ADVICE.
2. No Guarantee of Accuracy
AI systems can and do make mistakes. Northcast does not guarantee that any AI-generated output will be accurate, complete, current, or free from errors. Specific limitations include:
- Audit Reports: Scores and recommendations are automated estimates based on publicly available data at the time of analysis. Actual search engine rankings, competitive positioning, and business outcomes may differ materially from AI assessments.
- AI Receptionist (Inbox): Automated responses to customer messages may contain incorrect information about pricing, availability, services, policies, or other business details. The AI may misunderstand customer intent or provide inappropriate responses.
- Voice Agents: AI-powered phone calls may misinterpret speech, provide incorrect information, or fail to properly handle complex customer requests.
- Content Recommendations: Suggested blog topics, content strategies, and marketing recommendations are AI-generated and may not be suitable for every business or market.
3. Client Responsibility
If you are a Northcast client using AI-powered services (Inbox, voice agents, or any service that communicates with your customers on your behalf), you acknowledge and agree that:
- You are solely responsible for configuring accurate business information (hours, pricing, services, policies, contact details) in all Northcast AI systems
- You must regularly review AI-generated communications sent to your customers for accuracy and appropriateness
- You are responsible for informing your customers that they may be interacting with AI-powered systems
- You must monitor escalated conversations and respond to human-required inquiries promptly
- Northcast is not liable for any business losses, customer complaints, regulatory actions, or damages arising from AI-generated communications that contain errors, even if caused by AI system malfunction
4. No Guaranteed Business Outcomes
Northcast does not guarantee any specific business results from using our services, including but not limited to:
- Search engine ranking improvements
- Increased website traffic or conversion rates
- Lead generation volumes or quality
- Revenue or profit increases
- Customer acquisition or retention rates
- Social media engagement metrics
Any metrics, projections, or performance estimates provided in audit reports, sales conversations, or marketing materials are illustrative only and based on AI analysis that may not reflect actual outcomes. Past results from other clients are not indicative of future performance.
5. Third-Party AI Models
Northcast utilizes AI models from third-party providers including OpenAI, Google (Gemini), and Anthropic (Claude). These providers may change, update, deprecate, or discontinue their models at any time. Northcast is not responsible for changes in AI output quality, capability, or availability resulting from third-party model changes.
Data processed through third-party AI models is subject to each provider's data processing terms in addition to Northcast's Privacy Policy and Data Processing Agreement.
6. Human Review Recommendation
We strongly recommend that all AI-generated outputs be reviewed by a qualified human before being relied upon for important business decisions. This is especially critical for:
- Financial or pricing information communicated to customers
- Legal or compliance-related recommendations
- Medical, health, or safety-related content
- Contractual commitments or service guarantees made to customers
- Time-sensitive business decisions with material financial impact
7. Compliance and Regulatory
AI-generated content and communications may not comply with industry-specific regulations, professional standards, or regional legal requirements applicable to your business. It is your responsibility to ensure that all AI-generated outputs used in your business comply with applicable laws and regulations, including but not limited to:
- Canada's Anti-Spam Legislation (CASL)
- Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA)
- Provincial consumer protection laws
- Industry-specific advertising and marketing regulations
- Professional licensing and disclosure requirements
- Accessibility standards (AODA in Ontario)
8. Limitation of Liability for AI Services
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, NORTHCAST SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY DAMAGES ARISING FROM OR RELATED TO AI-GENERATED OUTPUTS, INCLUDING BUT NOT LIMITED TO: ERRORS IN AI-GENERATED COMMUNICATIONS SENT TO YOUR CUSTOMERS; BUSINESS LOSSES RESULTING FROM INACCURATE AI RECOMMENDATIONS; REGULATORY FINES OR PENALTIES ARISING FROM AI-GENERATED CONTENT; CUSTOMER DISPUTES OR LEGAL CLAIMS TRIGGERED BY AI RESPONSES; REPUTATIONAL DAMAGE FROM INAPPROPRIATE AI-GENERATED COMMUNICATIONS; OR LOST BUSINESS OPPORTUNITIES BASED ON AI ASSESSMENTS.
This limitation applies regardless of the legal theory (contract, tort, negligence, strict liability, or otherwise) and even if Northcast has been advised of the possibility of such damages.
